The product has been identified as presenting a high risk of fire as the product’s cabling possessed insufficient cross-sectional area (0.528mm² as opposed to the minimum permissible cross-sectional area of 1.25mm² for products used with 13-amp fuses). When the product is in use, the inadequate cabling may lead to the product overheating and igniting.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.
